Location
From Wallowa travel west on Hwy 82 for 2.2 miles and turn right (north) on Promise Rd. At 1.5 miles, turn left (west) on Bramlet Ln. Follow Bramlet Ln 2.4 mile back to Hwy 82. There is a cemetery with a view of wet meadows, a wet riparian area, and dry hillsides.

This route passes pastures, scattered trees, and wet areas along poorly named Dry Creek. In winter look for Bald Eagles and raptors along both roads. In summer look for Bobolinks and Wilson’s Snipe in the grassy meadows. Toward the west end of Bramlet Ln expect to find many Wild Turkeys.
