Go to the Oregon Birding Trails Website. Choose the Oregon Coast Birding Trail. Click on the South Coast tab and go to section 116. . From Hwy 101 in Bandon, go 1.3 mi N, turn W on Riverside Dr, and go 0.6 mi to parking on W (R) side.

Habitat and Birds
This expansive, tide dependent saltwater marsh is within the Coquille River Estuary. It is a stop over for migrating shorebirds, with peaks in April and May, and early September. It has been less productive in recent years, however, look for Black-bellied and Semipalmated Plover, Pacific and American Golden-Plover, Willet, Whimbrel, Long-billed Curlew, Marbled Godwit, Ruddy Turnstone, Western, Least, Baird’s and Pectoral Sandpiper, Rednecked Phalarope, Long and Shortbilled Dowitcher, Dunlin, and Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs. A Curlew Sandpiper was here in 2000.
