Location

Go to the Oregon Birding Trails website. Choose the Willamette Valley Birding Trail. Click on the Trail Guide and choose the Columbia Loop Guide. Section C-9.

Habitat and Birds

One of the highest points along the Columbia loop, around 1200 feet. Possible closures due to snow Nov thru March. Possibilities include Gray Jay, Ruffed and Sooty Grouse, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Varied Thrush, Red Crossbill. Ravens plentiful. Clearcuts may have White-crowned Sparrow, Western Bluebird, Mountain Quail. Do not drive in; gates can be locked without notice.
