Follow directions to Ecola State Park, proceed to Indian Beach parking lot and walk north to trailhead.

Habitat and Birds

The trail reaches Feldenheimer Forest and Seaside to the north, and goes through Sitka Spruce forest and riparian habitat. A short loop (2 miles) returns to the parking area. It also connects to the Tillamook Head trail, which leads to Seaside.

Species include Bald Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Wrentit and Varied Thrush. During summer, Violet-green Swallow, Wilson’s Warbler and Orange-crowned Warbler breed in the area.
