Location

From Monmouth, head south on Hwy 99w for 5 miles. The pond is on the east side of the road. This is a busy highway, so make sure to pull off as far as you can. The pond is private property so viewing is only from the road. A spotting scope will likely be helpful here.

Directions

Habitat and Birds

This is a fairly new pond in the area, but has already had Long-tailed Duck, Surf Scoter, Common Loon and Sabines Gull. A nice variety of ducks can be found here in the winter. The wet areas around the base of the dikes can also attract a wide variety of birds from shorebirds and blackbirds to sparrows and ducks.
