Go to the Oregon Birding Trails website. http://www.oregonbirdingtrails.org/ Choose the Willamette Valley Birding Trail. Click on the “trail guide” and choose the McKenzie Guide. Section M-4. A parking pass is required for visiting the park. The passes can be purchased at the park.

This is a mixed second growth forest with conifers and oak/maple in the uplands, and cottonwoods along the river. Typical forest species can be seen including 6 species of woodpeckers, 5 species of flycatchers, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, 6 species of warblers, and forest finches. A pass is required for visiting the park and can be purchased at the park, near the parking lots.
