Page Springs is a spacious BLM campground near Frenchglen, situated along the Blitzen River just off the road to Steens Mountain. To get there, take Steens Mountain Loop Road which starts across the street from the Frenchglen Hotel. Proceed 3 miles east down this gravel road (past the P Ranch and the CPR) and turn right into the campground.
Trails: At the south end of the campground are trailheads for two trails. One heads east into a canyon and the other heads south along the Blitzen River. Both are worth exploring.

Canyon Wrens, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Black-throated Gray Warblers, and Lesser Goldfinches are commonly found here. The riparian area from the bridge to the campground is one of the best places in the county to find a Yellow-breasted Chat during the breeding season. Black-chinned Hummingbirds are often seen. Drive the campground and look for campers with hummingbird feeders. Though the cattails are sparse in the campground, they often host a pair of Virginia Rails. Blue-gray Gnatcatchers have been found here a number of times. Long-eared Owls are often found as well.
