Location

From central Gold Beach at Highway 101 and 8th Street travel 1.3 miles north on Hwy 101 to the south end of the Rogue River Bridge. Turn right (east) onto Jerry’s Flat Road. Travel on Jerry’s Flat Road 5.2 miles to a gravel pull-out on the left (north) side of the road just before the Jim Hunt Creek Bridge. Walk across the bridge to the trailhead which is on the left (north) side of the road. This trail is 1.8 miles long and ends at Huntley Park, a Port of Gold Beach park and campground.

The beginning section of this hike provides good riparian vegetation and birds to look for include woodpeckers, hummingbirds, warblers, and other passerines.
