Location
Located 32 miles west of Jordan Valley and 13 miles east of Burns junction on Hwy 95. Just west of Rome, look for Rome Road. Look for side roads off to the left to access the Pillars of Rome. Rome gets its name from these rock formations that reminded settlers of the roman columns.

This road parallels the Owyhee River and can produce everything from waterfowl to dry sagebrush species. Watch for Canyon Wren on the Pillars.
