Location
From Hwy 101 at Siletz Bay, go east on Millport Slough Lane. Easy parking. A great place for a short, peaceful walk in the woods along the river.

Band-tailed Pigeons are often heard calling from this location. Loafing gulls and the occasional Purple Martin can be seen from the open areas. Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadees are present year-round. Look for Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, and Common Goldeneye in the colder months. Resident nesters include Pacific-slope Flycatcher, Marsh Wren, Swainson’s Thrush, Cedar Waxwing, Purple Finch, and Common Yellow-throat.
