Location
Across Hwy 86 from the entrance to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is Ruckles Creek Road. This is the access road to the OHV area. On weekends, this area can be full of noisy OHVs but weekdays can offer a good, quiet place to bird. This is also an access road to Love Reservoir.

Open sage and grassland. Look for sage species like Sagebrush Sparrow, Sage Grouse, Horned Lark and Sage Thrasher. Sparrows include Vesper, Lark, Savannah, Brewer’s, and Zonotrichias (winter).
