Willamina Fishing Pond (AKA Hampton Park or Huddleston Fishing Pond)

Location

Go to the Oregon Birding Trails Website. Choose the Willamette Valley Birding Trail. Click on the Trail Guide and choose the Yamhill Loop Guide. Section Y-4. Take Bus.18 bypass from Sheridan to Willamina. Turn left at E Street, cross the railroad tracks, then turn left again on Yamhill Street which will lead you into the park. This former log pond has been turned into a fishing pond and the area is now called Huddleston Park.  The South. Yamhill River and Willamina Creek border the south side of the park.  There is a walking trail around the pond, and a boat ramp, restroom, and picnic shelter.  The Willamina sewage ponds lie to the south, across Willamina Creek.
