Location

Yellowjacket Lake, also known as Clemens Reservoir, is a 35 acre mid-elevation lake with a developed campground site at 4800 feet elevation in the Malheur National Forest. The lake is 35 miles northwest of Hines.

To get there, take Burns-Izee Rd (NF 47) from Highway 20 in Hines, following signs for Yellowjacket Lake. At 30.1 miles, take NF 37 on the right. After 2.5 miles, the road splits. Take NF 3745 on the right the last mile to the campground.

Habitat and Birds

Birds here include Osprey (nesting platform), Bald Eagle, Common Loon, and diving ducks.

Can be combined with a trip to Emigrant Creek which lies along the way to Yellowjacket Lake
