Here’s a fun and informative video to start dreaming about spring. Pollinator Pathway is a national organization dedicated to the establishment of native plant communities for pollinators that are managed without pesticides. It got started here in Bend, Oregon, and this video features two board members, Gwen Bartonek and Lisa Sanco, about the many activities the organization has. ECBA volunteers helped plant Orchard Park’s new Hummingbird garden last year and if you are interested in volunteering this year, send an email to ecba@ecbirds.org and put Pollinator Pathway on the subject line.

Klamath Basin Wildlife Call to Action
Botulism is again active and spreading quickly at Tule Lake and Lower Klamath NWR. The conditions are similar to the time of July through October 2024 when over 150,000 waterfowl and shorebirds perished from botulism. The greatest potential for botulism is with shallow stagnant or very slow-moving water. Those are the current conditions at Tule Lake and Lower Klamath NWRs.
