Location

This Benedictine Abbey was founded by Swiss monks in 1882, on a wooded hilltop that overlooks the town of Mt Angel. For more details see the Abbey’s website Mt Angel Abbey. To reach the Abbey go south from Woodburn or north from Silverton on SR 214 to Mt Angel. Turn east on Church St, which turns SE after a few blocks and becomes College St. Follow College St for about a half mile, turn right on Abbey Dr, and proceed to the guest parking area at the top of the hill.
