Location

This campground is located off of Burnt Ranch Road 14.4 miles north of Highway 26.  It is along the John Day River. This is a primitive campground with a pit toilet and away from amenities. 4WD is recommended. The road is pretty rough in a few places.

Osprey, Golden Eagle, Gray Flycatcher, Western Kingbird, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Lark Sparrow, and White-throated Swifts have been seen here.
