East Cascades Bird Alliance is proud to support bird conservation, research, and education initiatives through its Laughrige Grant Program.

Thanks to a generous bequest from the estate of Katherine Kay Laughrige, grants are available on an annual basis to fund projects that reflect the mission of ECBA and help broaden our impact to conserve birds and their habitat. Between 2015 and 2022, over 100 grants were awarded, totaling more than $175,000.

ECBA welcomes grant requests from schools and educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. Previous grant recipients may also apply for continued annual support or for new projects. Applications are reviewed year-round on a monthly basis; there is no deadline for submission. Grant funds must be used for projects that reflect the mission of ECBA and may promote education, conservation, research, or other aligned initiatives. The average grant amount awarded is $1,500.
