From Seaside, follow US 101, take the City Ctr/Ecola State Park exit.

Continue onto N Alt Rte Hwy 101/Fir St

Fir St turns right and becomes E 3rd St

E 3rd St turns left and becomes N Spruce St

Turn left onto E 2nd St

There is a parking lot and a viewing platform on the right.

Habitat and Birds

The ponds and adjacent wetlands attract various species such as Bald Eagle, Great Blue Heron, a variety of ducks (Wood Duck, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal), Black-capped Chickadee, Wilson’s Snipe, Marsh Wren, Violet-green Swallow and Rufous Hummingbird.
