Location
Located on Hwy 218 about 5 miles southwest of Cottonwood Creek Road. This road loops up into timber and connects with Cottonwood Creek Road for a nice loop.

Forest species are mixed with canyon and juniper species here. Look for Lewis’s Woodpecker in the fall. Golden-crowned Kinglet and even Merlin have been seen on this road. You may also find Mountain Quail (this is a go-to place for this species in the county) and Green-tailed Towhee.
