The Mt. Hebo area is located at a relatively high elevation in the coast range. The entire area is under-birded.

County listers note that a portion of the area is in Yamhill County.

Munson Creek Falls is a remnant area of older trees surrounded by intensively managed commercial timberlands. A short 0.25 mile trail winds along Munson Creek through an old-growth forest to a viewpoint of the waterfall.
