Golden Eagle Camera on Whychus Creek Sisters

You can comment on this page. This page is working as a single blog post with continuing comments and replies as we have done in the past. The old comment thread with past years’ comments is no longer accessible here.  This comment thread has been active since February, 2023.

Please help support the Golden Eagle camera! To make a donation towards the substantial cost of getting these images on the internet, please go to the East Cascades Bird Alliance donation page, and select the Golden Eagle Cam as the payment destination.

Thanks to the Deschutes Land Trust on whose Aspen Hollow Preserve the nest is located.  The cooperation of the DLT was instrumental in successfully rescuing and re-nesting one of 2019’s eaglets, Whychus, and their continued support for this nest cam project is gratefully acknowledged.  www.deschuteslandtrust.org

A special thanks to Yellowknife Wireless (www.ykwc.com) for their support of this project.  They have generously allotted ECBA a bonus deal that gives us excellent service for a reduced price.  If you need or know someone who needs internet service in the Central Oregon area, pass on our recommendation that this is a good company to work with.

For those not familiar with the ivideon features: you can click in the blue bar below the image to go to the time shown where you click and review the recorded video. For folks posting times of activities, the time on the time line or the time in the date and location heading are now synchronized so either can be used.  You can zoom in on the time line with the + and – buttons to the lower right of the image. You can click on the date bar on the lower left of the image to go to another day. When looking at a recording, you can click on “live” to get back to the live image. Sometimes we will pull video clips and post them on youtube but with 10 days of recording it won’t be necessary to do that as often as in the past.  You can start view video by clicking in the center of the image of anywhere on the blue timeline.

    1. This chick needs to be strong to carry two years of the hopes of all of Petra and Rocky and kin’s viewers. S/he looks to be up to it. 🙂

    1. Sheryl! thanks – and have to say, typo from me, he was 40 feet away – sorry! And thanks for the heads-up on the breakfast feeding, very clear bobble-head breakfast shot!

  1. Saw Rocky mid-morning to early afternoon on a serious hunt for prey. No longer doing the lazy swooping soars, he’s a bird with a big job! He flew by about 4- feet from me, it always astounds me how big these GE’s are!

    1. Sisters Gal…. Right?! Ihave never had them at 4′ but several times I have gotten within 20′ when hiking nearby and found one sitting on a barren tree. And they fly by our home frequently as you know… It’s so cool when they are below eye level and the sun catches their golden quality. Closet eye level siting we have had is around 15′ when they do a hunting fly by on our side of the canyon. Four feet!!!!!!! You’re so lucky!

  2. Hi everyone! I am not new to the site, just new to commenting. I’ve been watching for years and have been thrilled to be able to see these birds raise many chicks successfully. Last year was heartbreaking but this year is a blessing. I’m not sure but it looked like there was an egg roll on a second egg at 3:56.38. Could be just the sun. Wishing everyone a successful year this year!

    1. I saw that flash of white. Could be an egg, though there have not been reports of rolling of two eggs which we have had when there were two eggs in the past. That could be a part of the shell of the hatchling.

    2. Christine, I must have reviewed that period two dozen times and I can’t tell if it’s a shell that popped up in just the right way to look like an egg and drive us all crazy or if it’s an egg. Petra did seem to purposefully roll it as if it was an egg. IF it was an egg then is it from this year or is it last year’s unhatched egg? The last time I saw last year’s egg was in mid-November as it sat on the rim of the nest bowl. Rocky flew in and approached the nest bowl to have a lie-down. His back was to the camera and his body blocked our view of the egg as he entered and once he was down the egg was nowhere to be seen. I’ve always assumed Rocky unintentionally nudged it into the nest bowl.

      1. I also kept looking at it. And today at 8:50.57 it looked like another repositioning of the egg and at 8:51.12. That would be sweet if it was another chick. 🙂

        1. I don’t know about those two times, Christine. To me, it just looked like Rocky was dipping his head down into the nest bowl and examining things on the floor of the bowl. I didn’t see any rolling motion to speak of. I’ll keep watching though!

  3. It occurred to me this morning that I still had the cloud recording only going back 3 days so I changed the subscription for this camera to the 7 day plan and the result was that the recordings previous to today when I made that change have gone away from the webpage. I sent a message to the tech crew at ivideon and maybe we can get them back. Meanwhile, I can still download videos directly from the ivideon website and I did so for a couple of them that have been mentioned yesterday and today. Later, I can upload them to youtube and put the links here.

    1. See my comment. By the way, you should be able to go to my ivideon account and download clips and the past recordings are still there as of now. If you have some particular times you were going to download, let me know and I will down load the clips myself.

      1. I do have clips I wanted to make! I think I still have my own account at Ivideon. Perhaps I can download the clips I need. If not, I’ll let you know. Thanks.

    1. Thank you – I finally saw the bobbing baby head. Most of my problem is that while I’m glued to my screen, it’s mostly for work. I don’t yet have the habit of frequently checking the nest.

  4. 3/27 Food hand-off somewhere near the nest?

    10:24:28 Petra leaves the nest.
10:25:00 Rocky arrives to supervise the chick.
10:25:52 Petra returns with fresh food.

  5. Hi everyone. I’m very excited about the chick! Also just FYI I’ve fixed the layout so the video will now show properly on your mobile devices 🙂

    1. Thank you very much, Shannon! Any way we can get rid of the spam messages? Will your anti-virus program block them?

  6. 3/26. Hey now Marcia, Jim and all you goldeneaglecam vets. So glad to be back for year 15 of watching Petra and Rocky do their thing! The chick seemed to successfully take some bites of food from 2.30-2:35pm. I’m not sure if that was the first feeding?

    1. James! So good to have an old-guard eagle pro back on deck. 🙂 Thanks for pointing out the first feeding at 2:30 pm. I will add it to the list of videos I’ll make for the archives.

Speaking of old-guard eagle pros – Kayess where are you? We need your wit and wisdom!

      1. Hi, Marcia, and All.
        I’m here. Just laying low.
Lovely feeding going on at 6pm.
My brain knows it’s early days yet, and GE 25-1 is working on eye-beak coordination.
But I’m still muttering to my monitor, “It’s right there in front of you. GRAB IT!” just as Petra gives up and swallows the morsel.
After all this time, you’d think I’d have some patience. 0_o

          1. Luckily for us, Marcia, you’ve been here to graciously welcome, guide, teach, and enjoy with us… as well as documenting the milestones of this remarkable ‘family’. I know I’m not alone in being deeply grateful!

  7. I was watching this morning at 10:46 when Rocky flew to the nest with food. Petra stood up and you could see the sweet little white chick standing in the nest with its head up looking over at mom. I think the bright white eggshell may have been initially confusing, not appearing to move, or possibly looking like a second chick. This one seems very lively.

    1. Yes, and so nice for mom and chick that the weather was pleasant on the chick’s first day in the world!

  8. Shannon, when I tried to use The Ctrl + v for Paste, it displayed the message that option has been disabled. Anyone in the know how I might fix that? Thanks!

    1. I’m so sorry, it looks like I can do it because I’m logged in as an admin. When logged out it doesn’t work. I will try to fix that!

  9. Marcia and Jim – any idea when the hatch took place? Last night when I was watching, she stood up and stretched and was extremely careful with claw placement and getting re-settled….

    1. Hard to say exactly when the hatch occurred. It takes 24 to 48 hours for a chick to make its way out of the shell so it was at least in the process of hatching last night.

    1. HURRAY! Just got up and checked on the nest and saw the most welcome activity on the nest! What a truly wonderful blessing this is…especially in these awful times of strife and indecision. Please let me be the first to suggest the name for this most-welcome addition to the world of’….. “MIRACLE”. It makes me smile to just see it bobbing around and enjoying it’s new home! Thank you so much, Marcia, for your sharp eyes!
blessing this is, especially in these times of strife and misery. Please let me be the first to suggest a name for the tiny feathered creature

      1. mh it’s right at 7:22:30, not before or after. With this lens and at this time of day it looks more like a gray head with black eyes (or “eye” since the chick is facing Petra). It is to the far right in the nest bowl right under Petra’s neck.

    2. Oh how wonderful!! 🙂 Thanks so much for the news Marcia! Would 3/25 be day 41? I had a hunch today… Haven’t been able to be as vigilant this season, so appreciate Jim’s camera work, Leslie’s “housing” the camera & everyone’s posts. 🙂

  10. Kind of busy today but I never saw the flash of white downy feathers that really confirm the presence of a hatchling.

Here’s what I saw: times are from the low clock; it looks like I need to set the camera clock.
    3:34:50: Petra out
    3:36:02: Rocky in
    3:58:27: Petra in
    4:01:00: Petra settles

    4:58:40: Petra up and out
    4:58:50: Rocky in with bird?
5:01:50:Petra in and out Rocky seems to “play” with prey
5:10:02:Petra inn stood for a while
    5:12:50: Rocky out
    5:13:16: Petra settles in

There were several times when the nest bowl was uncovered and I never saw a sign of a hatchling.

  11. Marcia your forecasted hatch of 41- 45 days after Petra laid her egg February 12 would put today or tomorrow, correct.
Thanks Karin for your observation and maybe Rocky & Petra have an eaglet! Right after the first couple of days of Spring.

  12. 3/24 2:41 – 2:43 pm Petra stands and repositions herself. Looking at Petra’s position on the nest (propping on her wings), I’m thinking the egg is hatching or has hatched. fingers crossed.

      1. I would hope that they have an anti-virus security program that would take care of that. Several of my friends are no longer signing up/posting because they are concerned about it. It’s a concern, for sure, with all the scam stuff that’s going on.

        1. We do have an excellent spam blocker, but as with most things it’s not 100% perfect so once in a while some slips through. However your computer is not at risk, as you can post without creating an account and you are not downloading anything.

  13. I had to renew the Ivideon subscription and as a result past recordings are not showing up here. I can still see them on the Ivideon website.

  14. I will turn this camera back on if its image improves. Meanwhile look below for my comments that include URLs that will get you to my website and the video from the other camera, which is pretty good.

  15. If you don’t want to type in the whole URL, just put drjhammond.weebly.com in the address space and go to the eagle nest camera page when my website comes up.

  16. Something wrong with the camera. You may be able to view another camera here: (I was going to paste a link to the other camera but I am not allowed to cut/copy/paste) I have asked out webpage guru to put the other camera’s image here but it hasn’t been done yet.

  17. Well, it looks like I have a serious problem with the settings on an interim lens that I am using for a while. I must have not set the aperture correctly. As I can’t get out there to fix it, I will have our webpage guru change to another camera I am testing (and not terribly happy with) for a while. I will be playing around with settings on this camera for a few days, too.

    1. It’s raining and heavily overcast at the canyon but the image should not be this dark. When we switch to the new camera (with the lens we have used for several years) you will see a lot of improvement but the image is still not what I would like.

  18. Things are in flux now. Lenses and cameras are being tried in different ways. Even no on, though, I can makethe image as large as I want with Crtl + on my Windows computer. Please bear with us.

  19. Why is the camera image suddenly smaller? (At least on my computer…) Have tried to enlarge, but not working…Ideas?

    1. You may need to refresh the page. Someone else said they needed to log in. Not many new comments except for some spam. I’ve been fiddling with the camera today so the image is different than usual.

  20. It looks like I fixed the odd jumpiness in the streaming video. I think sometime in the recent past, I made an accidental change in the camera’s video parameters.

  21. 1st attempt to catch up with you all on this new platform/forum after accessing the Golden Eagle cam in January. Reading your comments has helped! Thanks Jim for all the camera work and Marcia’s greetings and keeping us all updated. I tried to attach a grateful/smiley emoji but haven’t figured that out! Wonderful to see Petra & Rocky!!!

    1. Hi Pamela! Good to see you. I was worried you might not know how to sign in but here you are! There isn’t a list of emoticons to choose from on this site. To create a “smiley face” you need to type a colon, a dash, and a right parenthesis. Like this only with no spaces between the symbols. : – )

      1. Thanks Marcia – I just used it on a reply to Kayess 🙂 Good to know you are wrangling us all in for another season. Amazing that Rocky & Petra are in Wychus Canyon for another season.

    1. The stream is still jumpy and I don’t know why. I am making a major change at the camera site but I don’t know if that will fix it.

  22. Sorry about the camera feed. It was working when I left it about 12:45. If you want to look at the camera without the recorded video try going to 10.37.20.184 user name adminjim, password: skipper01

    1. Sorry, I meant to add that first you need to have an ip camera app such as IPCams (on iPhone) or IP Camera Viewer 2 (on Mac) You can probably find a PC or Android app, too.

  23. How lovely to see golden eagles! The webcam seems to be “jumpy”, not moving smoothly frame to frame. Is that normal for this site?

    1. It’s not normal for this site. I don’t know why it is happening. I could not find anything wrong when I was at the camera yesterday. I am going today and if it is still going on tomorrow, I will contact the tech support at our ISP.

  24. No chicks yet, Leslie. We know Petra laid an egg on February 12 and the incubation period is 41 to 45 days

    1. Leslie, as the owner of the property is also a “Leslie”, could you please identify yourself with a added initial (not L) to help us keep track of which is commenting. Welcome to the webpage. There seems to be a problem with the streaming video today. I’m not sure what is causeing that. I am at the camera and can’t see what could be causing that on our end.

  25. Hi all!!! Glad to be back!!! Looking forward to all the pics and comments and a successful breeding season…

  26. Great to be back in business again this year! Here’s hoping for a successful hatch and fledge for 2025! We live about a mile down the canyon from these magnificent birds. We saw them flying the canyon all winter this year. That was new or at least the first time we noticed.

    1. So good to see your post, Sheryl! Yes, to my knowledge (Marcia, please chime in!) this was the first time Jim kept the camera going all winter. I always assumed the eagles split and migrated south for the winter!! Not so – they spend a lot of the time re-doing the nest!

  27. Oh Petra – it’s finally warming up and winds calming. Birds are starting to return to the canyon and sing their many songs…Spring is coming!

    1. We witnessed Petra lay one egg on 4/12. It must have been her first egg as from that day on she has spent the night on the nest incubating the egg. Eagles lay eggs in clutches 3 or 4 days apart. I watched carefully on 4/15 and 4/16 and did not observe any egg-laying behavior but we can’t be certain there isn’t a second egg as the camera does not have infrared capability. However, last year Petra only laid one egg so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is another one-egg year.

    2. As far as we can tell, one. And I doubt anyone is hoping for a second one after almost two weeks. The greater the difference in their ages and sizes, the less chance the smaller has to survive. I think all of us are happy with one, and I have my fingers almost permanently crossed, hoping this one is fertilized. Last year’s did not produce a chick.

      1. Thank you mh! My mother (Sherrie Pierce) told me an interesting story about a year when there were two chicks and the smaller one would ‘hide’ in a little cave behind the nest and dash out to eat when he/she had the chance–that smart little one survived! Fun story 🙂

        1. Shannon, that eaglet’s name was Whychus and he would go into the cave to avoid his big sister Metolius. The year was 2019.

          1. Whychus later fell from the nest, was rehabilitated by Gary Landers et al., reintroduced into the nest and successfully fledged a few weeks after Metolious. There’s a link on the about page to an article by Jim Anderson that gives an account of that adventure.

  28. So, just so you all know, Sistersgal (Sharyl) is now using Deane as user name, and a fake email address. I’m “undercover” now!!

  29. Sistersgal on Monday morning 2/24.
Attempting to post from my cell phone. Gray day, combo rain/snow over next 24 hrs. No sightings in the canyon yet today from our house..

    1. Hi Sistersgal! Nice to know someone else is not quite sure how to use this new system. At least the nest photo is good
and we’re able to check in to see Petra and Rocky taking turns with brooding their new little family member. Hope there are no disappointments like we had last year. It seems like the comments are not as good (and entertaining) as they
have been in the past, Or, maybe It’s because it’s still early in the season!!
      no problems with hatching

      1. Well, obviously I don’t know how to edit a comment…..based on the one that is listed below! There doesn’t seem to be any way to change your mind before/after sending it. Oh well……….I tried!!!!

    1. Welcome to the forum and webpage. Did you put your email into the text of your comment or just put it in the space for email address below where you put your name? The reason I ask, is that the email address put in that space would not be shared in the comment list.

  30. The camera video is not making its way from the camera, which seems to be working fine, to ivideon and therefore not to this webpage. I don’t know the reason for this.

  31. The camera is working but not being seen by Ivideon so it doesn’t show up here. I’ll have to troubleshoot this later today.

    1. Hi Jim Video has been okay for me. Video frame appears near the top of the page but when I open page I’m way down at the bottom. It usually takes a few seconds for the video frame to appear on the screen.

  32. Just doing my regular morning check in on the nest.
When I open this site with Chrome browser it opens clear at the bottom of the comments. Anyone else seeing this?
Also looks like there are couple of spam comments below?

    1. Rodroc, I use Chrome but for me the page opens at the top above Jim’s introduction not at the bottom of the page below the comments.

  33. Hi all–i believe the copy/paste functions should now work. They did for me, but please test yourselves and let me know what you find out. Thanks!

    1. Correction, you can’t copy from this site because you can’t ‘select’ but you CAN paste (I’m pretty sure)

      1. I just pasted a link to the video of Petra laying an egg. It seemed to work. I had to refresh this page for it to work.

        1. Awesome! It does work, which should help enhance the comments experience. And it makes sense that you would need to refresh, as I just recently made the change and so the server would need an update to show it.

    2. Hi Shannon for all you’re undertaking to update the website/webpage. You posted to let you know if one could now copy/paste. I did not have success. Maybe it’s just me. Any instruction from you or others? Thanks in advance.
Also, is there a function to “Edit” one’s comments as that was an option in the past.? Thanks!

      1. Hi Pamela,

You cannot right click on this site (for legal reasons having to do with image copyrights) BUT you can past links into the commenting box by using the Ctrl + v for Paste (for a PC) or ⌘ + v for Paste for a Mac (I just pasted those commands!)

Emojis can also be made using your keyboard:

        https://www.wikihow.com/Type-Emoticons

Unfortunately editing is not available with this system, so you can just reply to your own comment if you want to make a change, OR if you feel very strongly that you want something removed you can ask me to do it (just use the Contact section on this website).

        Hope this helps!

  34. I downloaded a video of Petra laying the egg. I can’t post a link but if you look at my YouTube channel, it’s the most recent video posted. Look around on that channel for lots of eagle nesting videos and other stuff. @JamesHammondBigJim

  35. Petra has been on the nest a lot today. She first arrived this morning at 7:29 and left at 12:02. Rocky visited at 7:50:45, 8:19:25, and 12:02. Then, Petra returned at 3:08 and she is still there now at 4:47, standing still and in a rather rigid position. If this is the prelude to laying the first egg of the season it will be the earliest first egg Petra has laid!

    1. mh, even if we don’t see Petra lay it we will know the first egg is there when she spends the night on the nest.

  36. Thanks, Shannon, for moving the video down on the page. Eagle on the nest at about 4 pm. I don’t know why the timeline is not showing up but it seems as though you can still go back and view the recorded video. Moving on the timeline seems to be slow, however.

  37. I was just about to go out to the camera when I checked this page. Somebody or something cleared the view at about 2:12, less than 10 minutes before I looked at it. Thanks to whatever powers did it. Saved me a trip in the mud and snow.

  38. It’s not clear (so to speak), what the problem is and I will need to go there to check it out. Not sure when I will do that.

    1. Interesting dark blob in the image. The snow here at home, about 5 miles away from the nest does look like it would degrade the image that much. Maybe there’s some snow in front of the lens.

      1. can’t seem to edit the post. I meant that the snow here does not look like it should degrade the image that much.

        1. Either we’re going to have to carefully proof everything before posting, or we’re all gonna reply to ourselves a lot. I usually have to correct whatever I just posted.

    1. Oh… so you are both ‘mh’ and ‘Marsha’? I think I understand.
It’s fine, we’re all having to get used to the new format/functionality (or lack thereof), and it seems there’s a learning curve.
      I like your emoji, though.
      😉

  39. Hi all,

I’m sorry that the cut/copy/paste shortcuts won’t work here, but this is an intentional site wide setting, meant to prevent the unauthorized use of ECBA’s images without the organization’s permission.

    Again, sorry for the inconvenience!
    Shannon

    1. What would keep people from just screen grabbing images from the ecbirds website? Posting links to videos is not really necessary because simply referring to a time and date for some activity will let people go to the timeline and watch whatever activity is being discussed. On the other hand, our viewers are accustomed to being able to go to youtube videos posted by Marcia or me (maybe some others, too) when some notable activity has occurred. We are all going to have to get used to some changes.

      1. Hi Jim, I agree, bad actors can still ‘steal’ images. The decision to disable right click/ copy/paste etc.. was made before my time. I actually disabled it when I came on board, but was quickly asked to re-activate it. One solution might be to find a way to enable copy/paste on this page only…I’ll see what I can do!

        1. Hi, Shannon. Long-time user (of the ‘old’ GE site) here.
I understand that change is not always comfortable. I get that the ECAS/ECBIRDS organization(s) have their interests to protect.
I just feel that participation in this forum will suffer from the rigid guardrails being put in place.
This nest has enjoyed a lively, vibrant community during the 7 (8?) years I’ve been participating. I’d hate to lose that.
I agree with Jim on this: “What would keep people from just screen grabbing images from the ecbirds website?” I also wonder who is harmed when this happens?
We have become accustomed to being able to paste a screen grab to share significant moments with others… such as when an eagle lays an egg, or other special moment.
As well, identifying a date/time of an event is useful as long as it is not outside the limits of the recording.
I acknowledge that I’m not having to deal with the mess of website/webpage management, and I understand it can be effortful. I also agree that security has its place.
I’m hoping we can find a happy medium.

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider what I’ve written.

          1. Hi Kayess – Aprreciated your comments and tried to post a reply, but apparently it didn’t work, so am trying again. Having participated for 9 + years – this site is now a different learning curve. 🙂 I wish we had the ability to copy/paste the comments as each year I kept a “transcript” of sorts to track Rocky, Petra, and the eaglets at the nest. Shannon is indeed doing an “effortful” job on managing the website/webpage. Day 41 – 45 for a hatch would be April 21 -29 according to Marcia and all… – Pamela

            1. I sure wish Kayess would return. I miss her. Everyone so enjoyed her fun and informative comments.

Petra laid her egg on Feb 12 so the hatch date should be sometime around Aptil 2 to April 4. I don’t want you to miss it thinking that it wouldn’t be happening until the end of April!

There is a lot we can’t do on the forum but there is a way you could still capture and save comments. Is there anyone who could show you how to take a screenshot (a picture of the page)?

    2. Shannon, I suggest that you move the video to just above the discussion board. Also, we need to revise the text (then) above the video to more accurately reflect the status of this webpage. The only changes I think need to be made are are in the last paragraph.

  40. Hi all– I’m Shannon, the website administrator. I’ve made a change today that makes entering a name and email before commenting mandatory. This is in response to some spam we saw yesterday. If you have any questions about this new commenting system you can send them to the ecba email address (you can use the contact form) and I’ll try to help!

    Cheers!
    Shannon

    1. Trying it now… I’m in theory already logged in. Also, I have NOT received any emails about new posts, so I need to find a setting to change.

      1. Hi mh! You no longer need to ‘log in’ to comment on this page (we were being spammed into oblivion!), you just need to enter your name and email and (theoretically) if you click the ‘save’ checkbox, the system should save that for next time (as long as you continue to use the same browser).

Also this commenting platform will not email you when comments are made.

        Hope this helps!

        Shannon

  41. Hi Kayess. Yes, not sure how we could post a link to a video without the copy/paste function.

Petra and Rocky on the nest together 8:41:57 – 8:44:12.

          1. Okay, this is interesting.
In my reply to Marcia above, I used a row of 4 basic ASCI emoticons, and they have been converted to full-color emojis.
            ???

  42. Hi, MH, regarding your question on the ‘old’ site about inserting emojis… I cannot seem to do it either.
Also, there is no copy/paste function, and no edit or delete function that I can see. So once you submit a comment, it’s there for all to see, forever! =:-O

    1. Hi Kayess – Appreciated your comments and suggestions! I miss the ability to copy/paste; edit; and insert emojis. All these years I kept a transcript… good for tracking Rocky & Petra history and learning from everybody’s comments. We’re all on a learning curve here and Shannon effortful management of the website is appreciated!

  43. Thanks, Jim, The camera feed and comments seem to be working well.
Really appreciate all your efforts to keep us connected!

  44. Jim, thank you so much for all of your efforts in bringing these remarkable creatures into our lives.

    1. Seems like mine is working OK too – I’m hesitant to remove the “old link” from my desktop just yet, tho – – don’t want to lose all previous comments! Sounds like Jim recommends opening the “old comment page” to see past comments and pictures. Thanks, Jim!!

      1. Unless someone figures out how to access Disqus comments some other way, as far as I know, they will go away when I disconnect the old website from the goldeneaglecam.org domain. That will happen in less than a week.

  45. We will very soon be changing to this webpage as the only place to view and comment on the golden eagle camera.

  46. I might actually have both camera and comments viewable simultaneously. My phone is not kind to the picture, so guess what I’ll have open on my work computer all day

    1. Hi. This will soon be the offical page for the eagle cam but for the next few weeks we are still over at the old page.

Be sure you are set to Newest Comments First.

  47. I seem to be able to login and post a comment. A couple of other folks are having trouble getting logged in and/or setting up the account.

    1. Hi Leslie,
So great that this worked for you! I just found a fix to the ‘reply to threads’ not working, and it looks like it worked too–hooray!

        1. Sort of a problem that may go away when you have integrated this with the main website. Going to one of the other pages works but clicking on “Home” takes one back to the current ECBA website from which, at least for now, one can’t get back to this “prelim” webpage.
